Mission Statement

The Church of The Good Shepherd is a Bible church. We are Anglican Catholic in worship and spiritual discipline, and part of a worldwide community of Anglicans who seek to be faithful to Jesus Christ. The revealed Word of God as found in the scriptures, along with the historic tradition of the Church Catholic expressed in the Creeds and the Church Fathers, dictates our parish life. We affirm the Bible’s definition and purpose as expressed by St. Paul: “All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” (II Timothy 3: 16-17 RSV)
` We seek to “be transformed by the renewal of [our minds], that [we] may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect”. (Romans 12:2 RSV). We regard it as a special blessing and as a sacred trust to be able to instruct your children in the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Bp. David L. Moyer
Rector
