The Annual Advent Choral Evensong will take place on Sunday, December 6 (Second Sunday in Advent) at 5:00 pm. The principal music at this Advent Evensong will be by Sir Charles Villiers Stanford (1852-1924), who was one of the most important figures in British music of his day and a significant contributor to the repertory of English cathedral music. There is a special quality of reverence that attaches to this liturgy when observed in Advent. - WJG
