By train

Good Shepherd is easily accessible by Philadelphia’s SEPTA rail system in two ways<. One is simpler, but the other is cheaper.

The simple way is take the R5 Paoli/Thorndale line (Sunday schedule) to the Rosemont station. When you get off the train and exit the station, go to the left and cross under the tracks. Very shortly you will see Montrose Avenue on the left. Follow it to Lancaster Avenue (not turning aside onto Norcross Road or Rose Lane!) and you will be at the church (map of walking route). The walk takes about five minutes.

The cheaper way is to take the R100. Coming from the city, first take the Market-Frankford subway all the way west to the 69th Street Terminal. Inside the terminal get on the Route 100 and take it to the Rosemont station. You have to press a button to request a stop, so pay close attention - it's after Bryn Mawr. You'll come out by an bunch of apartments. Follow Google's directions here to arrive at the church. When using this method, be sure to buy a transfer when you first pay your fare in each direction - it's less expensive.
